It all started with Pilates.
I started studying Pilates in my 20s while working on my career in Corporate Accounting. Then 9/11 happened, and I decided to take a big leap and follow my passion. So, I moved to New York City to study Pilates under the most esteemed teachers in the world. Over the past 20 years, I have opened two Pilates studios and hold two comprehensive Pilates certifications (Power Pilates and Romana's Pilates).
I have taught hundreds and hundreds of clients over the past two decades, and from them, I have learned the brilliance of the human body, the value of willpower, the importance of connection, and that movement heals.
I started The Balance Movement when I turned 50 because I developed foot pain and noticed my joints were stiff. I started to hear the same complaint from other middle-agers. Then the older crowd shared with me their fears of falling.
I am happy to say that because I practice these balance exercises every day - yes, I do my own videos- my foot pain is gone. Not only that, I've started jogging again, and I play pickleball five times a week. I am excited about being active for the rest of my life and helping others do the same.
